On 04/29/2025 a tornado touched down just southwest of Springfield, Missouri. The twister caused minor damage throughout the city including downed powerlines, power outages and several trees were toppled over due to high winds and lightning strikes. There were several motor vehicle collisions and a downed street lamp at S. Campbell and Walnut Lawn. It is unclear at this time if there were any reported injuries or casualties.
